circa 1909 and 1905, 28in. nitro reproved barrels, No.1 sleeved, the ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends and engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS 178 NEW BOND ST. LONDON GUNMAKERS BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke (No.1) and 1/4 and full (No.2), some areas of pitting, scroll-back treble-grip actions, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details (No.1 with ring insert), plain bright and blued finish, the makers name in gold to the sides, 14 3/4in. stocks, fore-ends with Deeley & Edge patent release catches gold-inlaid '1' and '2' and horn finials, weight 6lb. 12oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 8oz. (No.2), in a brass-cornered leather case
